MARAS MORAY

This route begins with an early departure to the town of Maras in the Sacred Valley, where we will visit Moray, a very unique archaeological site in the region, where huge natural depressions in the surface were used from the ground to build irrigated agricultural terraces around it. In these natural formations, nature has created environmental conditions or microclimates that in modern times people create in greenhouses. We will continue with Maras, where the famous "salt parks" are located, where a volume of considerable solid salt, about 10 cm. (4 inches) high from the floor. That solid granulated salt, then packed in sacks and sent to the markets.
